The Buddy Bag Foundation’s CEO Karen Williams leads another successful bag-packing session with Unity Trust Bank employees.
The hugely successful Buddy Bag bag-packing sessions have become a popular method for businesses across the West Midlands to not only book engaging team-building exercises, but also as a way for them to give back to the local community. Booking a bag pack with the Buddy Bag Foundation not only helps to provide the resources to meet our bag-packing goals, but also gives employers an opportunity to book something unique and worthwhile for their team to participate in.
The latest business to partner with the Buddy Bag Foundation and offer their staff the incredible opportunity to pack bags to send out to children in need is Unity Trust Bank. Unity Trust Bank is a socially aware bank that offers business banking to organisations who make a difference in their local communities. The amazing Team at Unity Trust Bank raised enough money from employee donations to help us pack a whopping 72 bags for ages 0-2 years old.
Millie Flynn, a Enterprise Risk Manager at Unity Trust Bank had only amazing things to say about her experience working with Karen, saying, “It was a privilege to hear first hand from Karen how she started the charity, and the impact they have made. By providing children with a few necessities, and some lovely goodies to call their own during a really difficult time feels so rewarding. Thanks for letting us be a part of the wonderful work you do”.
Jack Clews, relationship manager at Unity Trust bank was also one of the many Unity staff members who helped pack the 72 bags. Jack loved the experience and the facts he learned whilst doing a bag-pack, saying, “it’s just incredible that the Buddy Bag Foundation does so much. It was an amazing team building day that didn’t feel like your typical corporate team building exercise and it has the benefit of helping others. I would do this again in a heartbeat.”
