How you can help as a business
Making a donation to The Buddy Bag Foundation can be done in many ways. Not only can you donate in monetary terms but by donating your time or skills.
£25 supplies a child entering emergency accommodation with their own Buddy Bag or other essential items.
We are always looking for individuals and companies who are able to donate their professional skills.
We do not spent a penny of money donated on our operational expenses and 100% of your donations go to the cause.

How you can help as an individual
Are you a brilliant knitter or are you a whizz with a sewing machine?
For our knitters, you can follow our knitting pattern to knit bears and for our sewing enthusiasts, we have our toiletry bag project. You can follow our patterns for both in our BBF Crafter’s Pack.
All the items made go into the bags for the children.
100% of money donated goes to the cause in supplying a child entering emergency accommodation with their own Buddy Bag or other essential items.

Making a donation is a simple and direct way to support our work. With our tangible cause – that benefits children in care directly – you can transform the lives of children and actually see where your support goes.
A regular donation is the most effective way you can help the Buddy Bag Foundation to continue with our mission to make a difference to children who are living through a traumatic experience. We use every penny of your donation to help children in their hour need.
We are committed to 100% of the monies raised going into the supply of Buddy Bags. Our administration costs are covered by our founders.
You can make a one-off donation or a regular monthly donation.

Knitting bears
Would you like to knit cuddly toys for the Buddy Bag Foundation? We are always on the look out for talented knitters of all ages.

We are always looking for individuals and companies, such as accountants, printers, lawyers, solicitors and expertise in PR, who are able to donate their skills.
We have not spent a penny on our operational expenses and 100% of your donations go to the cause.

The Buddy Fund
Providing additional essential items beyond The Buddy Bags
The Buddy Fund supports families who need a little extra help when leaving the refuge and moving into their own accommodation creating a lasting legacy of care and comfort by supplying essential items for a child’s bedroom.
Supermarket grants and schemes
Many of the supermarkets that you know and love offer community grants and other ways to support charities.
Tesco Community Grants fund thousands of local community projects across the UK, helping to fight holiday hunger, tackle mental health, support young people, host community events and much more.
The Asda Foundation supports small, grass roots organisations in several ways throughout the year and are able to work with a range of organisations and groups on a variety of local community projects.
Every three months, Waitrose shares a donation of £25,000 between three national causes. Waitrose customers get to decide who to help. Applications should be made in your local store.
Every time members buy selected Co-op branded products and services, 2p in every pound spent goes to members and they give the same to community organisations and local causes.
Sponsor a Buddy Fold Away Bag and make a difference to a child in emergency care
Every bag sponsored helps a child move with dignity and sends the message: “You are not disposable. You are loved.”
