Sylvia Keris becomes an elf for December for BBF

Sylvia dressing up as an elf

Sylvia Keris is passionate about The Buddy Bag Foundation which helps children taken away from domestic violence and has decided to dress up as an elf for the whole of December to raise money for The Buddy Bag Foundation.

Sylvia wants to help raise awareness of and money for The Buddy Bag Foundation, which recently awarded her Ambassador of the Year.

Sylvia is appealing for more kind people to knit teddies and to sew fabric drawstring toiletry bags and pencil cases, for this very valuable charity.

But sadly, domestic violence cases increase over the festive season. So in support of the charity and to also bring some festive cheer, Sylvia has vowed to dress again this year as Buddy’s Elf, 24 hours a day, every day in December.

Wherever she goes – whether food shopping, GP appointments, on a walk or doing volunteer work – Sylvia will be dressed as an elf.

“Any donations are a good bonus and it also encourages people to be aware of the most wonderful charity.

I had great fun last year and it just made so many people smile and children jump up and down with delight which is why I decided to do it again.

I’ve got several elf outfits all ready to go, I just need to decide which clothing and accessories each day – some even have bells on which gets me excited!

I’ve also been practising my make-up and hair and will even be dressed up when I go for my booster jab.

I’ve got a bit of jolly mischief lined up, with picture ideas – including animals – ready to share and plenty of local people and businesses are getting involved.

Why not put your greetings on the elf website and support a very good cause with a donation instead of sending cards.”

The Buddy Bag Foundation will be following Sylvia’s antics so watch out for her updates on The Buddy Bag Foundation Facebook page.

And if the Elf makes you smile, please leave a festive message and a donation on Sylvia’s JustGiving page in support of the Buddy Bag Foundation.

And if you are a local business that wants to get involved in return for a donation, you can check Elf availability by emailing john@buddybagfoundation.co.uk or contacting Sylvia.

Sylvia is a collecting point for teddies and bags, and also for Lego donations, and can be contacted for deliveries on 01785 851005

The Buddy Bag Foundation

The Buddy Bag Foundation was founded in 2015 to help make a difference to the 48,000 children entering emergency care every year in the UK. We supply these children with a Buddy Bag, or other essential items, to help restore a sense of comfort and love.

Your chance to make a difference to a child in emergency care

£25 supplies a child entering emergency accommodation with their own Buddy Bag or other essential items. 100% of money donated goes to the cause.
