Truly Independent are proud to announce that our new charity will be the Buddy Bag Foundation.
We have always believed in doing our best to have a positive impact in the communities we serve. Having previously supported the National Autistic Society and Hospice at Home, raising over £1000 for these great causes, we have now partnered with the Buddy Bag Foundation.
Truly Independent Managing Director, Andrew Goodwin, said, “As a UK wide IFA firm it’s fantastic to begin this partnership with Buddy Bag who have a UK wide need. It’s a worthy cause and we are looking forward to supporting them however we can.
We’ll be encouraging our staff and IFAs to get involved at their local level, to take part, help and donate throughout this launch year and beyond.”
The Buddy Bag Foundation was founded in 2015 to help make a difference to children entering emergency care; with over 48,000 children entering emergency care each year.
The foundation is run by a team of volunteers who supply buddy bags containing essential items to restore a sense of comfort and love to children.
There are over 3,000 volunteers who together have supplied almost 35,000 buddy bags to children who need them.
Speaking about the new partnership, Buddy Bag Founder/CEO, Karen Williams OBE, said, “It’s great news that we’ve been chosen as Truly Independent’s new charity to support. We supply buddy bags to children in emergency care and together we can help to make a real difference to the lives of these children.”
