Founded in Sutton Coldfield in 2015, The Buddy Bag Foundation is a UK-based charity that focuses on supporting children who find themselves in emergency care due to difficult circumstances such as domestic violence, abuse, or neglect.
The foundation’s primary initiative involves providing ‘Buddy Bags’, which are backpacks filled with essential items and comfort objects, to these vulnerable children. These bags are carefully curated to meet the immediate needs of the children and help ease their transition into emergency accommodation or foster care.
Each Buddy Bag typically contains items such as clothing, toiletries, a teddy bear, and other cheering items to offer a sense of security during a challenging time.
The goal of the foundation is not only to provide practical support but also to bring a bit of joy and comfort to children who may be experiencing trauma and uncertainty.
